Pastery

Hey everyone 👋I'm Jannik, the maker of Pastery. I built it because every clipboard manager I tried either felt like a clunky list of text snippets or was a slow Electron wrapper pretending to be native. I wanted something that felt like Apple could have shipped it - instant, smooth, and genuinely nice to look at.So Pastery turns everything you copy - text, screenshots, links, colors, files - into a visual, searchable timeline. Hit ⌘⇧V and it's just there. Search even reads text inside your screenshots (OCR), you can pin clips so they never expire, and everything stays 100% local. No cloud, no telemetry. It's native Swift, runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel, and I've obsessed over every animation and scroll to make it feel first-party.I'd love your honest feedback - what's missing, what feels off, what you'd want next. I read and reply to everything. Thanks for checking it out! 🙏

Omphalis

Omphalis: the center of your understandingOmphalis is where the things you read, watch, and listen to go to be understood rather than archived. Articles, papers, PDFs, podcasts, and videos enter through the same pipeline and come out as one calm page with the structure made visible. It is built for people whose problem is not finding things to read. It is finishing them. The four layersClean is the foundation. Clutter stripped, layouts untangled, podcasts and videos transcribed. Every source renders as the same uniform, readable page.Structure shows the shape of a piece before you commit to it. Strata breaks it into typed moments, labeled by what they're doing: intro, deep dive, research. A density bar shows how the piece divides across its topics, so you can see that 80 percent of an episode is one framework and 19 percent is setup. Named people and entities surface alongside it. You can jump straight to a section, a paragraph, or a timestamp.Mark places high-precision annotations on the passages that matter, as quiet dotted underlines rather than popups. Keep the ones that earn it, dismiss the rest. The count scales with length and density rather than a fixed quota. One wrong note costs more trust than ten missing ones.Connection compounds. Your Library surfaces the overlaps, extensions, and gaps between pieces you have kept. It describes what your library actually says rather than predicting what you'll want next.Working with what you keepLearn more gives you definitions in place, source verification, and deeper explanation without leaving the page.Ask & Find answers questions across your whole library, drawn only from what you have saved. No outside guessing.Discover suggests related material based on what you have kept, and tells you why each one surfaced.Currents connects your library to how a story has developed since you saved it.Memory keeps track of the topics you return to and what you have already worked through, which sharpens what surfaces later.Spaces keeps separate reading threads apart, so work and personal reading do not bleed into each other.Courses builds structured learning paths from openly licensed sources, with attribution intact.Browser extensionChrome and Firefox. It brings the clean reading view to the page you already have open, shows the Strata section map, reveals inline explanations as you pause, and will read any page aloud with the words following along. The toolbar handles saving, bookmarking, and subscribing. Everything syncs with app.omphalis.ai.Five surfacesToday runs a short daily loop with a clear done state, no feed and no streak pressure. Inbox holds what you follow. Library holds what you kept, with Collections, tags, and a set-aside shelf. Connections shows what it all adds up to. Settings covers preferences, subscription, voice, integrations, and what data is visible or removable.Who it is forResearchers working through papers where the dense passages are the point. Students turning lectures and long interviews into something navigable. Writers and teachers building a library that feeds the work. Anyone with a read-later backlog they have stopped opening.PricingFree costs nothing: 40 comprehension units a month, roughly three articles or one podcast episode, plus 100 subscribed sources, an hour of listening, unlimited notes, an uncapped Library, free data export, and Courses.Pro is $9 a month or $90 a year: 300 comprehension units, four hours of listening, 1,000 sources, Connections in light mode.Premium is $19 a month or $190 a year: 600 units, six hours of listening, unlimited sources, Connections in full mode.New accounts start on a full trial with no card required.ProsStructure and annotation land on your first item, before any history exists. Every format becomes the same readable page. Marks stay anchored to the exact spot in the source. Export is free at every tier, including free.ConsThe free tier is small, around three articles a month, because the processing behind each item is real work. Connection needs a library before it has much to say, so the first sessions are carried by the other three layers. And it is built for engaging with sources, not avoiding them.
